ESTRANGED WIFE REFUSES TO RECONCILE WITH HIV POSITIVE HUBBY

A 31 year old woman of Kasisi who disappeared from the matrimonial home for one month has refused to reconcile with husband in the in the Chelstone local court.
Susan Mambo told senior local court magistrate Charity Milambo that she was not ready to reconcile with her husband Thomas Mambo,31 who sued her for marriage reconciliation.
The two married in 2010, and have one child while dowry was partially paid.
Mambo said they had been having misunderstanding in their matrimonial home that his wife disappeared from home.
“It is now one month since my wife went away and I don’t know where she stays only to meet her in court today,
“I want my wife to come back home so that we can keep the child together. I want her to change because she also drinks too much beer, when I give her money she buys other things,” Mambo said.
But in her defence Susan refused to reconcile saying she could not go back home because she was not ready.
“I will only go back if he changes his behaviour and accept his status. He refuses to take ARVs I am scared my health is at stake,.
“He even chases anyone who comes to render help and whenever I am taking mine he chases me outside saying he doesn’t want to see the medicine,” Susan said.
In submission, Mambo said he was willing to change, and asked his wife to always accompany him to the hospital of which she refused saying she could not be escorting a grown up man to the hospital.
The Court failed to reconcile the couple because Susan refused to do so and the two were advised to sue for divorce
Court advised any of them to sue for divorce.
