OASIS MALL HUNGRY LION RE-OPENS

THE Hungry Lion outlet at Lusaka’s Oasis Mall near the Intercity Bus Terminus had been re-opened after Lusaka City Council (LCC) declared it conducive for business.
The outlet which was shut down yesterday by LCC following a video that went viral on social media showing a sewer discharge outside the shop was no back to normal business.
After the video, LCC swung into action that sent its public inspectors to the outlet and immediately ordered its closure.
The public health inspectors said the situation was alarming and an immediate shut down on the shop until the sewer discharge was worked on.
In a statement issued by LCC public relations officer Lisa Ng’oma the Oasis Mall management had early morning deployed e plumbers who worked on the blockage and disinfected the place and by 07:00 hours
They inspectors later paid a second visit and confirmed the place being fit for business.
She said after the second inspection, inspectors said the place was disinfected and was no longer a health risk to the food outlet.
“Members of public are therefore advised to go the outlet as it is now clean, safe and fit for business to carry on,” said Ms Ng’oma
