THE 27the edition of the Copa Coca-Cola Schools Championship is underway in Lusaka with representatives from the 10 provinces competing in the boys and girls category.

According to FAZ, the local soccer governing body was keeping tabs on the championship with an eye for possible inclusions in the Under-17 structures

Provincial champions in the boys’ and girls’ categories are competing with matches played at Woodlands Stadium and Barca Academy.

Lusaka is being represented by Arakan (boys) and Kabulonga Girls while Western has Matauka (boys) and Namushakende.

Envoys for North Western are Chavuma and Maheba while Luapula has Mutono and Mansa.

Muchinga Province is being represented by Muchinga and Chinsali Girls with Northern having Ituna (boys) and Kasama Girls.

The representatives for Central Province are Kabwe (boys) and Mine (girls) while Eastern has Chizongwe (boys) and Gonda (girls).

Copperbelt has Kitwe Boys and Chingola Combined Secondary while Southern Province is being represented by Choma Secondary (boys) and Choma Boarding.

Choma Secondary and Choma Boarding are defending champions in the boys and girls categories respectively.

The tournament runs from August 14 to 17.

The Zambia Under-17 will compete at the 2019 COSAFA championship in Malawi in September.
