The first-ever Samfya Colour Festival held at Samfya Marines in Luapula Province last week registered success with spectators coming from different towns.
The event organised by Gambino Entertainments and Soundcorp was specifically meant to open up the rich tourism and culture of Luapula Province especially its water shores on Lake Bangweulu.
This event featured lots of fun and activity with musician Dandy Krazy from Lusaka featuring as main act.
Dandy rocked the event with his rich collection of music and entertaiment for both days on which the show was held. He was the main artiste to lead patrons some of whom came from as far as Ndola, Lusaka and the neighbouring town of Mansa.
The ‘ Donchi Kubeba’ and ‘ Wawa’ singer took with him his energetic dancers famously known as the Bush Babies who in their usual way entertained the showgowers to the fullest. Dandy sang, danced and interacted with the fans. The sing who was logged at Samfya Marines occasionally took the boat cruise to enjoy the waters of Lake Bangweulu.
Other prominent entertainers at the festival include two of Zambia’s top DJs Bizzy Wizzy and Links in the Mix. The two played on separate DJs all to the enjoyment of the fans.
The Samfya Marines Colour Festival will now be held annually and organisers feel there will be more next year.
