THE Chilenje Local Court has thrown out an application for marriage reconciliation because dowry was not paid..
Beatrice Ngosa, 33, of Chalala sued Emmanuel Kaposhi,37, of Chilenje Township for reconciliation
They were appearing before senior local court magistrate Ackim Phiri sitting with senior local court magistrate Harriet Mbewe .
Ngosa said they had been having disputes in their marriage and wanted the court to reconcile them.
She said they had been on separation for two years and wanted to go back to her husband.
Ngosa said her husband did not pay dowry but were living together as a married couple.
But in defence Kaposhi said that he did not want to reconcile with his wife because she was disrespectful.
Kaposhi said that Ngosa had no respect for him and his relatives and that it was not possible to get back together. On hearing that dowry was not paid , the court declared that the two were cohabiting and not in marriage but advised them to share household goods equally
