FORMER Zambia Under-20 striker Conlyde Luchanga has joined Forest Rangers of Ndola on a season loan deal from Lusaka Dynamos for one year.

Luchanga confirmed having left the Lusaka-based side for Ndola where he has been reunited with Perry Mutapa who was his trainer at Dynamos in 2015.

The new Dynamos striker has in the last few days been spotted at Forest training ground in Ndola’s Trade Fair grounds.

The U-20 AfCON Championship winner and U-20 World Cup Quarter finalist has been in tip-top form in Forest pre-season matches which has seen him scoring two goals so far.

He scored a stunning free kick against Zanaco and another goal against 1st division outfit Kafue Celtic in pre-season friendly matches last week.

Luchanga in a statement announcing his move to Forest said “If you think you can win, you can win, faith is necessary for victory”

The young striker, who also made his debut for Zambia with a goal on his first game against Sudan, has had his career slide on a downward spiral which has seen his omission from the Under 23 assignments.

He has seen very little action in the last four years since announcing his arrival on the soccer scene.

Luchanga has also seen little action at his former Lusaka Dynamos side having fallen off the perking order at the club in preference of highly rated foreign strikers.

Luchanga will be hoping to resuscitate his career and form at Forest which has seen other players do the same and these include striker Austin Muwowo who recently joined South Africa’s Orlando Pirates.
