Muwowo, who announced his return to Oriental early last month, is set to enter the ring on October 19 in a main supporting bout against Tanzanian Musini Kizota at the Government Complex.

OQBP manager Chris Malunga told the Sun sport in an interview that female boxing sensation, Catherine Phiri, would also take on Ghanain Yako shaves Anani in a non-title main fight.

He said others that would take part in the tournament, include Cosmas Chanda of Chililabombwe who will fight Derrick Mambwe.

The other fight would be between U.S-based Pethias Chisenga and Mombera Mukuni of Oriental Boxing stables.

“We have Debbie Mwale of Oriental Quarries Boxing promotion, who is going for his second international bout, he will fight Philimon Hara of Evergreen,” Malunga said.

“Then we have Remmy Simbeye of Oriental who will fight Basla Ngosa of America, You know most of the boxers now have been going to America, the new promotion, and this bout I think is a rematch bout whereby the last two boxers put up a good fight and we feel that we should give them another chance to fight each other,” he said.

Malunga said he could not state the budget for the tournament because they it was yet to be determined whether the invited boxers would travel by road or by air.

He said the stables, who are the event organizers, had already contacted the foreign-based boxers who have all confirmed participation.
