ZESCO United has unveiled their CAF champions league squad for the 2019/20 season.

The 2019 Zambian champions have however  left out Ghanaian striker Rahim Osumanu from the list while Japanese Kosuke Nakamachi has made the cut.

According to its face book page, United’s new signings, Zimbabwean midfielder Thabani Kamusoko who joins from Tanzania’s Yanga FC, former Prison Leopards forward Saviours Nkonkola and Uganda striker Umaru Kasumba who joined from Sofapaka FC have all been included.

Zesco have retained a core number of players who featured in the 20/2019 edition of the campaign where the Zambian side got relegated to the confederations cup going as far as the group stage of the competition.

The Ndola-side will however miss the services of star striker Lazarous Kambole who last month played his last game for the side as he has since joined premier soccer league side Kaizer Chiefs.

Kambole was instrumental for Zesco guiding them to a semifinal finish in the 2016 edition of the Champions league as well a quarter final berth in the 2017 edition of the confederations cup.

Also missing out of this year’s line-up is former Under-20 star Maybin Kalengo who last season left united to join Tanzanian outfit Yanga.
