Transparency International Zambia, TIZ has reiterated its call for Housing and Infrastructure Development Minister Ronald Chitotela to step down from his position to pave way for corruption investigations.

The Anti-Corruption Commission recently re-arrested Mr. Chitotela and slapped him with 9 other counts of possession and concealing property suspected to be proceeds of crime.

TIZ Executive Director Wesley Chibamba says it will be difficult for law enforcers to thoroughly investigate a sitting minister on corruption allegations.

Mr. Chibamba says in order for the investigations not to be interfered with, Mr. Chitotela should step down from his position as minister immediately.
