TOP scorer for Division I Zone 1 National Assembly FC Robin Miyanda says he is excited to have played a bigger role in his team’s imminent return to Super league.

Miyanda said he was happy about his team looming return to the premier leagues because that was where it belonged.

“I’m excited to have played big role in making sure that my team gets on course to returning to Super League because that’s where a team and player of my calibre belongs,” says Miyanda.

Miyanda told the Sun Sport which found him in training session at Lusaka showgrounds that being a top scorer for his team was an exciting experience in the sense that his goals had helped it lead the FAZ division zone one table.

He was looking forward to returning to super league football having already played in the same league on the books of City of Lusaka and Nchanga Rangers who he played for last season.

Miyanda, who has scored eight goals, said that he did not really advocate playing for any super league team because he had already achieved that dream when he played for his dream team City of Lusaka.

“As funny as this may sound, I have already played for a team that I had always wished to play for, and that is City of Lusaka FC. Right now I’m ready to play for any team that can take me or approach me so long they pay me better because now we play for money,’’ he said

Miyanda however made it clear that presently he was stuck with Assembly because he wanted to help the team win promotion to the Super League.

He said Assembly was ready to play in the Super league because it had worked hard to maintain command of division one Zone with 4 games left to play.

He said that playing the last 26 games in the lower division had not been easy because everyone wanted to beat his team.

He noted that the team had been up to the task and that it was the reason it had only lost one game out of the 26 played.

Assembly leads FAZ zone one super league table with 57 points  having played 26 games with 17 wins ,7 draws and 2 losses.
