CHIEF Mumena of the Kaonde speaking people of Solwezi District has congratulated all the institutions and individuals that took part in the just ended National Dialogue Forum (NDF) for a job well done.

Chief Mumena said the commitment that was shown to answer calls from Zambians to have amendments in certain clauses of the constitution by the members was elating.

He told the Sun in an interview that the delegates managed to handle an assignment that was bigger than them in one spirit and achieved with full force to represent the people diligently.

He said that it was comforting to note that the delegates had interest in representing silent voices of the majority of Zambians.

“Seeing views from divergent sections of society is a good and encouraging thing. It is worth noting that interacting with people from different walks of life and coming together gives wisdom,

“We must admit that the NDF has shown us the way of looking at the clauses that have been adopted for amendment,” he said.

He said that the forum that was concluded on Wednesday, May 15 had given a clear direction that would help answer the cries of many Zambians.

The chief said that time had come for Zambia to change the way of doing things, stressing that the change that was called for was found at the forum.

He said that the changes that were made at the forum may not meet many expectations but at least it was clear that the hearts of many people had been listened to.

He said it was interesting to note that many citizens were concerned about Zambia and were interested in the outcome of the forum.
