The Civil Society Organisation’s Seventh National development plan barometer report has revealed that implementation of the plan by government has been below par.

According to the report, only 23 percent of the seventh National development goals were fully implemented in 2018.

Meanwhile Civil Society For Poverty Reduction (CSPR) has called on government to invest in capacity building in state and non-state institutions to expedite the attainment of the seventh National development plan.

CSPR executive director Patrick Nshidano says that there is need for massive investment in various sectors for effective implementation of the   seventh National development goals.

Mr Nshidano has however noted that the current financial challenge the country is facing has affected the implementation of the plan.

Mr Nshidano was speaking during the presentation of the      Civil Society Organisation’s seventh National development plan barometer report.
