4 Mwinilunga men cheat death

FOUR men of Mwinilunga are nursing serious injuries in hospital after being hit by a Mitsubishi Pajero on the Mwinilunga-Solwezi Road.

Provincial Commissioner of police Hudson Namachila who confirmed the accident said it occurred on April 28 around 11:40 hours near Manyama market.

 “I can confirm that a man driving a Mitsubishi Pajero ATB 3846 Vincent Muhandu aged 33 of Manyama from the direction of west to east failed to keep to his side and in the process he hit four male pedestrian who sustained multiple injuries and are admitted in two different hospitals”, he said.

Mr Namachila said all the casualties were walking from western to eastern direction.

“The pedestrians of the same residence have been identified as Fordson Masuwa Kifita aged 16 who sustained a dislocated left shoulder, head injuries and bruised legs and Fortune Musele aged 14 sustained bruised and swollen right leg,

“The others are Kizito Nkandu aged 39 who sustained multiple cuts on the head, a suspected fractured right hand and general body pains and Royd Ngulube aged 42 has a suspected fractured right leg, bruised right shoulder, cut on the head and general body pains”, said the commissioner.

He said three of the casualties have been admitted to Solwezi General Hospital and one is at Lumwana District Hospital.
