The Poultry Association of Zambia says that depreciation of the kwacha has affected the performance of the poultry industry.

Association executive director Dominic Chanda says that industry has seen a reduction in the export of chickens due to the depreciation of the kwacha.

Meanwhile Mr Chanda has predicted that prices of stock feed is likely to go up due to high prices of maize grain on the market.

He is however hopeful that once the marketing season is opened it will cushion the high prices maize on the market hence resulting reduction of stock feed.
