RESIDENTS of Chilenje’s famous Ma Plot compound have complained over the bad state of roads in the area.
One of the concerned residents Faith Nakalumbi, who had been living in the compound since 2010, narrated how difficult it was for them to use the roads especially during the rainy season.
She said ever since the roads were constructed, the levelling of the land was not done properly resulting in the roads flooding whenever it rained.

Ms Nakalumbi further complained that there were no drainages in the area which compounded the situation.
She feared for the children because she as an adult could manage to wade in the waters while the young ones could not, thereby raising health and safety concerns.

She wondered why the Roads Development Agency (RDA) had left out Ma Plot in the current on-going road rehabilitation in Lusaka.
The residents have since appealed to Government through their area councilor to come to their aid and work on the roads in the area and at least construct drainages as well.
