Kabwe Municipal Council has warned that it will not hesitate to close down shops that do not meet the required standards of operation as stipulated by the local authority.

Council acting town clerk Joel Shawa says the council will be conducting inspections to ensure that all business owners comply with council laws and regulations.

Mr. Shawa says the council task force will soon be conducting routine checks ups to ensure all business entities have valid business levy, health permit, fire certificate and market levy among many others.
