CHOMA-BASED super league side, Green Eagles Football latest replica Jersey for the 2019/2020 soccer season has received mixed reactions from fans on social media due its alleged high price.
The price of K450 each for adults and K200 for children has not been received well by the club’s fans who felt that it was on the higher side.
“Finally the replica jerseys are in Choma all the way from Italy,” says a statement on the Club’s Face book page.
The Club announced earlier this week that it had received the Jerseys from manufactures in Italy and were already on sale.
“We have in stock jerseys in colors of green, white and orange, we also have scarves, hats and lots more, visit Dee Bees Store along Livingstone – Lusaka Road,’’ it said

But Choma based journalist Lawrence Muchona has written on the page:
“That’s too much commander help us, with is dry spell better I buy maize for my family to eat than buy such an expensive jersey,’’
And another fan Zackaria Banda observed that the problem with local teams was that their replicas were very expensive.
He observed that the economy had no money, hence the need for the club to reconsider their prices.

But the Club defended the pricing of its replica jersey, saying the jersey was acquired from Macron S.P.A. a top Italian sporting apparel company.

The Club said that its kit supplier was considered a European leader in the production of active sportswear.

Eagled join Tunisian giants, Esperance and Etoile Du Sahel among other renowned clubs around the world that used Macron.
