Road Transport and Safety Agency (RTSA), Director and Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Zindaba Soko, has urged Zambians, especially motorists, to strictly adhere to traffic rules and regulations during the Easter celebrations.

In his Easter message to the nation, Mr. Soko says road crashes are prominent during holidays and hence the need to observe all traffic rules and regulations.

He says that noticeable cases of speed-related road traffic accidents in the country calls for concerted efforts by all concerned citizens to avoid death and injuries that characterized many of the Zambian roads especially during such holidays.

Mr. Soko has identified the Great North Road, as one of the corridors where recurrence of speed-induced crashes is still worrisome.

He has however assured the nation that appropriate measures are being implemented to address the menace.

Mr. Soko said this in a statement issued to Millenium radio by RTSA head of public relations Fredrick Mubanga.
