RELEGATION fears continue to haunt struggling stream B tail enders Prison Leopards after on Saturday the team posted another loss to a rejuvenated Red Arrows at Nkoloma Stadium.
An impressive Arrows beat stressed Leopards 3-1 to climb to third on the log with the same number of points with fourth placed defending champions ZESCO United.
The loss means that the controversially 2018 promoted side continue wallowing at the bottom of the stream A relegation on seven points which has seen them only pick one win from their previous six matches and losing the other five games.
After coming from behind in a midweek rescheduled week 7 match against ZESCO United via a Bruce Musakanya goal, Arrows humbled the Kabwe based outfit, Leopards, pushing them further into troubled waters.
Arrows were certainly the favorites to bag it home, and they lived to their status as man of the moment Musakanya opened the scores in the 39th minutes to give Arrows the lead before the break.
The home side added a second goal shortly after the break through veteran midfield Stanley Nshimbi in the 47th minute.
Alfred Quaye pulled one back for the visiting Leopards before George Simbayambaya put the tie beyond Leopards reach with a third goal for Arrows.
Arrows have now managed to pick 5 wins, 5 draws and have lost twice in 12 matches while siting fifth on 20 points in Stream A of the Super League level on points with ZESCO who are fourth with a better goal difference over the Zambia Air Force (ZAF) sponsored.
Arrows next match is away at Edwin Imboela against Green Buffaloes while n Leopards will take on Lusaka Dynamos at home.
Survival was now becoming a toll order for the newly promoted Leopards who have only picked one win out of their 12 games.
