FSDZ suggests efforts to rural financial access

Financial Deepening Zambia has called on stakeholders to build further momentum around the financial access in rural areas.

Organisation Digital Financial adviser Charity Chikumbi says there is need to ensure people in rural areas have access to financial infrastructure and technology in order to reduce on financial illiteracy levels.

Meanwhile Ms Chikumbi says the organisation has embarked on sensitization in eastern province in order to promote financial inclusion.

He says that organisation is carrying out radio programmes to sensitize the public on various financial service.C

According to the 2015 FinScope survey, financial inclusion levels in Zambia increased from 37.9 percent in 2009, to 59.3 percent in 2015, due to improved awareness, as well as use of services by the public.
