Open accounts if you want FIFA funds – FAZ

Written by on March 28, 2019

FAZ general secretary Adrian Kashala has advised clubs to open accounts if they are to benefit from funds from FIFA.

And FAZ vice president Rix Mweemba has urged provincial representatives to the April 13 Annual General Meeting (AGM) to ensure that they carry the message of their provinces.

During the Western Province conference held at Nalumba Lodge in Mongu, Kashala who handed K5, 000 grants to lower division clubs with bank accounts said that members that did not open accounts would never receive any money.

He says that bank accounts were now a requirement by the constitution as it was critical in audit queries.

Kashala says the money given out would have to be accounted for as per constitutional requirement.

He says that FAZ expected its members to abide by transparent standards just as FIFA demanded associations to account for every penny.

The FAZ chief executive officer handed over cheques as promised by FAZ president Andrew Kamanga. And Mweemba urged the selected members as envoys for the AGM not to forget their duty of being the voice of their regions.
