Employers disregarding minimum wage worry govt

Government has bemoaned the low compliance levels among employees when it comes to paying their workers minimum wage.
Labour Commissioner Chanda Kaziya says most employers are still underpaying their workers despite government strengthening it’s enforcement to ensure that the law is adhere to.
Mr Kaziya has however warned that once found, the defaulting employers will be made to pay every salary arrears owed to the workers.
He says the Ministry of Labour will not tolerate any employers underpaying their workers.
