The Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has noted an information gap in terms of accessing shares, despite Zambians having an interest in such investments.
SEC Manager Financial Inclusion Mubanga Kondolo says investment advisers are concentrated mainly in Lusaka, resulting in unequal distribution of knowledge regarding acquiring shares.
Mr Kondolo says there is need to spread information on how people can acquire shares in order to empower Zambians with such investments.
He says there is a variety of listings on the stock exchange, but Zambians need knowledge on how to go about acquiring shares.
