The Ethics committee of the Former Football Association of Zambia ( FAZ) is being used to fight those perceived to have dissenting views, former (FAZ ) executive committee member Blackwell Siwale has observed.

Speaking in an interview with The Sun Sport, Siwale, the Chingola based football administrator said that the complaints advanced by Afrisports Football Club president Gabriel Kaunda that about the ethics committee of FAZ being used to fight perceived enemies were correctly so.

He said that the Ethics committee was merely designed to attack and silence divergent views.

Siwale further raised concern on the composition of the Ethics committee claiming that the members were illegitimately holding their positions because they are all close to the people serving in FAZ.

He said that the manner in which he was banned from football by the ethics committee without being given an opportunity to be heard was evident that the committee was biased against those with divergent views.

“The composition of that ethics committee is designed in such a way that it is serving no other purpose apart from that of one person,” he said.

The fact that a committee which is supposed to be an impartial body, is now being used to fix perceived enemies is sad and has taken our football backwards so much that we don’t even know where to start from when we take over.

Siwale a former Nchanga Rangers president and FAZ executive committee member is serving an expulsion and ban from football for misconduct having been expelled from the Association by the FAZ council in 2017.
