Marijuana gives me appetite

TWO grade nine pupils of George compound have told the Lusaka Magistrate court that smoking marijuana gives them appetite for eating and helps them stay off the noise makers list in class.
And another has told the court that smoking the drug helps him stop thinking about his late father.
This is in a case where 11 juveniles aged between 14 years and a 20-year-old man, Lucas Daka all of George compound are facing two counts of trafficking in marijuana and unlawful use of the drug.
Particulars of the case are that on January 16, 2019 in Lusaka, the accused jointly and whilst acting together with other persons unknown trafficked in 305.7 grams of marijuana.
In count two, on the same date the juveniles are alleged to have unlawfully used 1.2 grams of marijuana.
When the matter came up for plea before Lusaka Magistrate Nsunge Chanda the 12 accused pleaded guilty to the charge.
They informed the court that they bought the marijuana in Chibolya Compound near the Central Business District.
And when Magistrate Chanda asked why they smoked marijuana, one of the juveniles said it helped him stay quiet in class and avoid the noise makers list while another claimed that it gives him appetite for food.
Another also told court that smoking the drug helps him stop thinking about his late father.
The juveniles were apprehended on the material day by Drug Enforcement Commission officers in an unfinished building within George compound.
The matter has been adjourned to February 5, 2019 for facts and possible sentencing.
